Handyman Services in Seattle, WA

Loose handles, sticking doors, drywall holes, that shelf still in the box. Bring us the list; we work through it in one visit.

Handyman Services by Michel General Services
The service

Every home collects a punch list: the towel bar that pulled out of the wall, the door that rubs the frame every winter, the caulk line going dark in the shower. None of it feels big enough to call a contractor, so it waits. Michel General Services exists for exactly that list. We have handled small repairs across the Greater Seattle area since 2015, and small jobs are not a favor we squeeze in. They are the job.

You send the list, Michel walks the house with you, and the crew arrives with the materials to close as many items as one visit allows. Most repairs are backed by our 6-month workmanship warranty, so a fix that does not hold is our problem, not yours.

Around here

Most of our handyman routes run through Eastside homes built in the eighties and nineties: Bellevue split-levels with doors that settled out of square, Kirkland decks whose hardware lost the fight with the wet season, Redmond garages still waiting for real storage. It is a housing stock we know screw by screw, and it is why one visit closes so many items.

On the work order

  • Drywall patching and touch-up painting
  • Door, lock and hardware adjustment or replacement
  • Caulking and sealing in kitchens and bathrooms
  • TV mounting, shelving and furniture assembly
  • Fixture swaps: faucets, light fixtures, fans and more
  • Weatherproofing and small exterior repairs

Questions

What homeowners ask us

Straight answers, starting with the one everybody asks first.

How long does a handyman visit take?

Most punch lists fit in half a day to a full day. When you send your list up front, we tell you at the estimate exactly what fits in one visit and what needs a second.

Is my repair too small to call you?

No. Small repairs are the core of this service. If it takes ten minutes, we will bundle it with the rest of your list so the visit is worth your while.

Do you charge by the hour or by the job?

By the job. Michel looks at your list, prices the visit as a whole and you approve the number before work starts. No clock running on the counter.

Do I need to have materials ready?

No. We bring standard materials and hardware. For finish choices like a specific faucet or light fixture, Michel advises you on what to buy so you only pay for it once.

Do you work with landlords and move-out repairs?

Yes. Punch lists for rentals, move-outs and home sales are common jobs for us, and we can work from an inspection report or a photo list sent by text.

Do you take small jobs in Bellevue, Kirkland and Redmond?

Yes. We are based on the Eastside, so Bellevue, Kirkland, Redmond, Bothell and Sammamish are our daily routes, along with Seattle itself. If your city is nearby, send it with your list and we confirm.

Same crew, same visit

Most clients bundle more than one trade into the visit. These pair naturally with handyman.

  • Interior & Exterior Painting

Interior and exterior painting with real prep work, not just a fresh coat over problems.

  • Carpentry

Trim, doors, framing, decks and built-ins, measured twice and cut once.

  • Flooring Installation

Vinyl plank, laminate, hardwood and tile installed level, tight and quiet underfoot.
