Flooring Installation in Seattle, WA

Vinyl plank, laminate, hardwood and tile installed on a properly prepared subfloor, which is the part that decides everything.

Flooring Installation by Michel General Services
The service

A floor fails from underneath. If the subfloor is not flat, dry and solid, the best plank on the market will click apart, squeak or lip at the edges. Our flooring installs start below the surface: leveling, moisture checks and underlayment matched to the product, then the visible floor goes down tight.

Choosing the material is half the project, and it is where Michel is most consultative. Waterproof vinyl plank for a rental or a busy entry, hardwood where it adds real value, tile where water wins. We tell you what we would put in our own house at each budget, and why.

Around here

Around Seattle, the floor conversation starts with moisture. Basements in older Seattle and Renton homes need a moisture reading before anything goes down, slab-on-grade rooms want the right underlayment, and entryways here live under wet shoes half the year. It is why we check the subfloor at the estimate instead of discovering it on install day.

Get a Free Flooring Estimate
How long does a flooring installation take?

One room in vinyl plank or laminate is usually a one-day job. A whole main floor runs two to four days, and tile takes longer because of curing time. Your estimate includes the schedule.

Which flooring is best for kitchens and bathrooms?

Where water wins, we usually point to waterproof vinyl plank or tile. Hardwood belongs in living areas and bedrooms where it adds real value. Michel walks you through the trade-offs for your exact rooms.

Can you install flooring I already bought?

Yes. We install client-supplied materials all the time. Send us the product and we confirm it suits the room before you open a single box.

Do you fix uneven or damaged subfloors?

Yes, and we insist on it. Leveling compound, plywood repairs and moisture checks happen before any plank goes down, because that is what keeps the new floor quiet and tight.

Do you remove the old floor?

Yes, removal and haul-away are part of the scope, and the estimate states it explicitly so there is no surprise line item.

Do you install flooring across the Greater Seattle area?

Yes. Seattle, Bellevue, Redmond, Everett, Renton and the cities between them are all on our routes. One room or a whole main floor, the crew and the standard are the same.

Same crew, same visit

Most clients bundle more than one trade into the visit. These pair naturally with flooring.
